Basic Ingredients

Basic Ingredients Bakery has been serving the residents of and Visitors to Newfound Lake every summer for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on providing the best baked goods and meals to go by taking the time to make sure every step is handled with care. By taking our time and baking to demand we ensure that everything that comes out of our oven is as fresh as possible.

Our love for baking is only curbed by our dislike of over baking and having leftovers at the end of the day. So come early while our shelves are fully stocked or give us a call so we can set things aside for you if there is something in particular you are looking for.

Look out for our new food truck by following our social media or reach out if you have event you would like us to be a part of.

Newfound Country Store

Newfound Country Store is not your typical convenience store, in fact it’s not a convenience store at all, it is a Destination. It’s a Country Store where one can sit with a cup of coffee and a newspaper and mingle with local friends. A Country Store where one can order breakfast, lunch or dinner and grocery shop at the same time – picking up everything from milk and bread to specialty items. A Country Store where one can shop for clothing for the entire family and pick up a special gift for any occasion. A Country Store where one can stock up on bait, purchase Fish & Game licenses, register your snowmobile and eat an ice cream cone. A Country Store where one can find a friendly staff and gas up for the ride home. -A Country Store, a Destination.

The Homestead Restaurant & Tavern

The Homestead Restaurant in Bristol, New Hampshire represents the original homestead of Benjamin Emmons. The large two-story frame house built by Emmons, circa 1788, is said to be the oldest house standing in the town of Bristol. Benjamin Emmons was a prominent man in his day. He was a revolutionary soldier from New Chester (now known as Bristol) and after the war was active in the militia. Here he kept a tavern and for the price of 12 cents you could have a bowl of porridge and chance to sleep on the floor. His descendants lived here for generations. Today the McDonough family opens its doors to offer the finest of today’s food and beverage and a glimpse at the past. The Homestead has become a local favorite where you can enjoy fireside dining in the winter and outdoor dining in the summer with friendly service and top quality food year round.
